Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) Programme Call
Improve your competitiveness, productivity and profitability
What is Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)?
KTP is a programme designed to help businesses deliver innovative projects by matching business leaders with academic specialists and talented graduates. These collaborations can positively impact on your company’s competitiveness, productivity and profitability. Through KTP your company can access a wealth of technological, scientific and managerial knowledge available in local academic institutes, including Queen’s University, Belfast and the University of Ulster. With support available to cover up to two-thirds of eligible costs your company can use the knowledge generated in the universities to support strategic projects and to attract and develop talented graduate staff.
As global competition gets tougher and markets become ever more challenging, innovation has become a management imperative. The KTP gives businesses access to:
• graduate skills
• the wider research and technical base that resides in third level institutions
• a channel for the commercialisation of research
• the know-how to add value through new product development and new types of service delivery
How does it work?
Fill in the enquiry form to register your interest.
The expression of interest is for companies with project proposals that can illustrate how the practical application of specialist university based skills and knowledge could impact on business success and clearly demonstrate innovation, impact and challenge to all partners. If successful a university academic will be assigned to co-supervise your project and tap into the university’s bank of researchers and academics. A high calibre graduate will be recruited to work on a full time basis on the identified project and will be jointly supervised by yourself and the senior academic.
